Thrift Shop

Thrift Shop

All members of the Circle are encouraged to contribute good, clean, current merchandise for sale in the Thrift Shop. It can be clothing for women, men, children, and infants; household items; seasonal items; books and magazines.

The Thrift Shop is the Circle’s only fund-raising project. Seventy percent of the annual income is given to the Home.

The Marking Committee sorts and marks contributions on Mondays from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.

The Sales Committee staffs the salesroom Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm, and Saturdays from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Persons usually sign up for one day per month and work a three-hour shift.

The Thrift Shop recently shared coats, dresses, shoes and suits with Shelterhouse when changing seasonal clothing, thanks to Marge Madden! Sharon Mortensen, Executive Director thanked the Thrift Shop for their “interest in helping those whose lives have been impacted by violence.

The Thrift Shop would like to express a timely thank you to Dave Southworth of Southworth Jewelers for donating and installing new batteries in all of the electric watches donated to the Thrift Shop. Dave’s wonderful contribution helps to keep the Thrift Shop ticking!
